📑 Required Documents for RFSR

To apply for a Revised Fire Safety Recommendation, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Key Location Plan (1:4000)*

  • Site Plan (1:600)*

  • Section Elevation Plan*

  • Typical Building Plan*

  • Structured Drawings*

  • Roof Plan (1:100)*

  • F.A.R. calculation with area details*

  • F.A.R. calculation for parking area*

  • Area Statement*

  • Other supporting documents such as:

    • Applicant’s Proof of Identity (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID)

    • Proof of Power of Attorney*

    • Copy of Last FSR / RFSR issued by the Department*

    • Master Plan Drawing*

    • Floor Plan (1:100)*

    • Legal Ownership Document / Registered Deed*

    • Building Completion Certificate*

💰 Payment Requirement (Fee Structure)

The fees for Revised Fire Safety Recommendation depend on the category of building:

  1. Category AResidential buildings above 14.5m height, educational institutions, dharamshalas, libraries, museums, art galleries

    • Fee: ₹4.35 per sq. m of floor area

  2. Category BHospitals, nursing homes, research centres, telephone exchanges, guest houses, hotels (up to 3-star), restaurants without bar, decorators, laboratories

    • Fee: ₹6.52 per sq. m of floor area

  3. Category CPorts, airports, public entertainment places, restaurants with bar, shopping complexes, offices, markets, automobile workshops, power centres, underground structures, hotels above 3-star, covered parking

    • Fee: ₹8.70 per sq. m of floor area

  4. Category DHazardous units such as firework manufacturing, explosives storage, oil refineries, petrochemicals, underground transit systems

    • Fee: ₹13.05 per sq. m of floor area


📌 Important Notes

  • The floor area is calculated by multiplying the length and breadth of all floors of the building.

  • For mixed occupancy buildings, the category will be decided based on the type that occupies more than 50% of the total area. The fee will be calculated accordingly.
